5 Healthy Snacks That Won’t Leave You Feeling Hungry

It’s easy to reach for a chocolate bar or a packet of crisps when you’re feeling hungry.

However, these are unlikely to fill you up for very long and you’ll probably end up feeling hungry again soon after.

Plus, they’re unhealthy!

A lot of people assume that healthy snacks aren’t the best for keeping you full for long periods of time, but they’re wrong.

Here are some healthy snacks that will fill you up…

1. Almonds

A handful of almonds is a great way to fill yourself up and there’s no worry of you becoming hungry again shortly afterwards.

As well as being filling, almonds are also a great source of protein and fibre.

2. Dried Fruit

Dried fruit is one of the most convenient options when it comes to healthy snacks, as it’s so easy to carry around in your bag.

As well as getting a lot of the nutrients that comes from fruit, you’ll also benefit from the fullness that comes with its fibre content.

Of course it’s important to choose dried fruit that hasn’t been sweetened with added sugar.

3. Frozen Grapes

When it’s warm out and the sun is shining most people will want some form of frozen snack, such as ice cream or an ice lolly.

However, these are often packed full of sugar and preservatives.

However, there is an other option.

Frozen grapes are the ideal alternative to a frozen treat; they’re low in calories, they’re healthy and they’re sure to fill you up.

4. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a great way to fill yourself up without having to worry too much about your sugar levels or diet.

It’s a great source of fibre and it can be eaten in so many different ways.

By adding a handful of fruit, you can add a little bit of sweetness to it.

Alternatively, add a handful of nuts to keep things savoury.

5. Hummus

It’ll come as no surprise that hummus is included in a list of healthy snacks that are sure to fill you up.

Hummus is a great way to keep hunger at bay, either as a snack when you’re waiting for lunch or as something to perk you up during a slow afternoon at work.

It’s nutritious and it tastes great with carrot sticks, celery sticks and even crackers.
